Process Book
"The Conformist" Poster, 2004
           
This book documented the research and production process of a poster design realized at RISD’s Summer Institute of Graphic Design Studies, June 2004.
I explored the unique qualities afforded by analogue printing: paper textures, the physicality of ink, and the unexpected mistake.
This led me to intersect letterpress printing with digital images of metal type, a combination of analogue and digital technologies.
The final 18" x 24 " poster combines a variety of processes, creating a layered graphic tension, inspired by the film’s complex story and characters.
